…the things in my glass…

I’ve written about this before, my own thoughts about the glass being half empty, half full. This is nothing but a simple extension on that train of thought, musing about life and the all the little things in it.

I’ve fixated lately on discovering some obvious things for the first time in life, finding that it’s a bit like discovering ice cubes when everyone else has known about them for years…

The beautiful thing about suddenly finding ice cubes in your glass is that they’re like little prisms – they break light into spectra of intense little slices of color and completely change the way everything looks. Eventually they melt, just as the novelty of something new fades into commonplace, and they become yet another part of the fluid of life. But the way they make the world look for a few fleeting moments can change what one’s eyes will forever see.
