Sometimes when I hear people, who clearly don’t have a weight problem, clamoring about ‘needing’ to lose 5 or 10 pounds, I tune out and immediately think of Buddha.
I think that he didn’t give a shit, really, about having a belly, ‘man-boobs’ or a bald head. I don’t think it made him any less happy one way or the other. In fact maybe that the exterior and the interior can be completely independent is one of the keys to enlightenment. And maybe obsessing too much about what’s outside, clouds the beauty within and throughout.
Having a ‘perfect’ body isn’t the path to having a ‘perfect’ soul.
